Service and Solution Networks and telecommunications IP-телефония

   IP-telephone is technology for digital corporate phone communication. IP-telephony is used for voice transmission and signaling of local area network (LAN), working via IP protocol, and does not require separate cabling system, crosses, and telephone stations.

  In contrast to regular phones, IP-phone offers wider range of functions and in some cases can be used as an informer instead of computer.

  IP-telephony  forms unified communication network, number plan, centralized administration, set of services and accessibility to subscribers from all workplaces of the entity, no matter how far is subscriber:  central office, branch, home, or outside from country.

   Branch sites, regional nodes can be naturally integrated to IP-telephony network, as soon as branch connects to corporate IP-network.  Installation of separate telephone station is not required; connection IP-phone to LAN would be enough.  Usually gateway is located in branch. Branch gateway performs three main functions: provides a local joint with the CTA, allows to connect analog phones (faxes, modems), in addition, in case of channel data channel fault, gateways performs temporary as telephone station – provides base set of phone services and communication with city.

   Local Area Network (LAN and/or network between branches) must be prepared for IP-telephone, so that provide priority to phone signaling and voice transmission. This kind of IP-network is known as multiservice, or network with QoS support (Quality of Serivce).
